About the Сonference:
The 12th Conference of Parliamentarians of the Arctic Region in Ulan - Ude, 14 - 17 June 2016
The Conference of Parliamentarians of the Arctic Region (KPAR) in Russia (Ulan-Ude, pos. Gremyachinsk) included to the Plan of International Relations of the State Duma in 2016.
The grand opening will take place on June 15, 2016.
The Conference will be attended by deputies of national parliaments of the Arctic region, the European Parliament, as well as representatives of international organizations and the scientific community. The Conference will discuss topical issues of the Arctic co-operation:
- Climatic and environmental changes in the Arctic, in the light of discussions at the Climate Conference in Paris (2015);
- The impact of human factors, social and cultural challenges in the Arctic, possible prospects for indigenous people and people of the North;
- New opportunities in the Arctic, economic, technical and scientific development, cooperation with the business community.
The Conference of Arctic Parliamentarians held once in two years.
